Protection in Just 1 Dose.

Just one dose of the Prevnar 20TM vaccine helps protect against 20 strains of the bacteria that cause pneumococcal pneumonia.

Compared to Prevnar 13,
Prevnar 20TM helps protect against:

7 additional strains of bacteria that cause pneumococcal pneumonia 7 additional strains of bacteria that cause pneumococcal pneumonia more potential cases of pneumococcal pneumonia more potential cases of pneumococcal pneumonia

Prevnar 20TM won’t give you pneumococcal pneumonia.

That’s because Prevnar 20TM does not contain live bacteria.

Prevnar 20TMis designed to protect.

Prevnar 20TM is designed to protect.

There are two types of pneumococcal vaccines—polysaccharides and conjugates. Prevnar 20TM is a conjugate vaccine. Conjugate vaccines work by combining proteins with small pieces of inactive pneumococcal bacteria to help activate the immune system. Your body is able to recognize the bacteria without getting you sick. This process helps your immune system make antibodies that can help protect you from 20 strains of the bacteria that cause pneumococcal pneumonia.

Prevnar 20TM helps protect against more strains of the bacteria that cause pneumococcal pneumonia than any other pneumococcal conjugate vaccine.

If you’re 65 or older, or an adult with certain chronic conditions, you may be at greater risk for pneumococcal pneumonia—even if you feel healthy. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to better understand your risk and if Prevnar 20TM is right for you.

Prevnar 20TM was studied in adults with chronic conditions including diabetes, kidney disorders, lung disease, liver disease, and heart disease.

Even if you’ve already been vaccinated with another pneumonia vaccine, ask your doctor if Prevnar 20TM could help provide additional protection.

Prevnar 20TM is a single dose, so you don’t have to get it every year.
